Take the SkillForce Challenge
The SkillForce Prince’s Award and the SkillForce Junior Prince’s Award, supported by our Royal Patron, HRH The Duke of Cambridge KG KT, are unique.
Designed to develop confidence and resilience as well as leadership and teamwork skills, they help young people to succeed in education and in life. The SkillForce Challenge is an opportunity for your students to enjoy this life-changing experience in a four-day holiday activity.
Who is this for?
These courses are ideal for:
- Students at key transition points
- Students who are preparing to face important exams
- Students who would benefit from additional support to build confidence and skills
What will students gain?
- Confidence and resilience
- Teamwork and leadership skills
- A nationally recognised Award for their CV
How does it work?
The course is delivered over four days on school or college premises during the holiday periods – half-terms, Christmas, Easter, or summer break. The Junior Challenge also includes an overnight camp.
The course is delivered by our instructors – predominantly ex-service personnel who understand what it takes to build teams, solve problems, succeed at challenges and lead as well as serve others in highly demanding and pressurised situations. Instructors not only run the course but act as role models and mentors to the young people who attend. All are experienced in working with young people.
This is not a boot camp – there are no military uniforms. It’s all about fun challenges within a climate of encouragement and support and with a focus on service and public-mindedness.
